hi vox! :)
Are there any snacks, food or candy that are no longer made that you desperately miss?
None that are no longer made but I sure do love me some Taylors Pork Roll which in the area I live is very hard to find. I miss Scapple too, thats hard to find, in fact I haven't found it locally at all. One local store carries Taylors Pork Roll though, yum yum
Play any instrument or speak any language, which do you choose?
Question submitted by cruftbox.vox.com.
I would probably say, speak any language. I find learning a language much more difficult than an instrument (for me that is) and I would benefit much more from the language I think..
What was your favorite candy when you were a kid? How does that compare to now?
I loved loved loved Bottle Caps candy as a kid. That and Lik-m-Aid. Today? I still love Bottle Caps, especially the cola ones :) Lik-m-aid? Not so much.
But what I really love today is Sugar Free Jelly Bellies. OMG yum.
Oh no! It seems they revamped the invite system and have removed starter invites! I had a friend ask how to get one and now I can't get her one. Wah.
Vox! Give me more invites plz!
:P
It wasn't the worst (in fact it was one of the best trips ever) but seasickness does bring to mind this one time I took a cruise. My mom, a friend and I went on a cruise to Ensenada Mexico.
Well, the first thing we did when we got on the ship was to crack open a big bottle of champagne.. and then we did muster and hit the bars. We were all so shitfaced drunk that by like 11pm we ended up having to go back to our cabin. So I laid down on my bunk and that is when everything started spinning along with the rocking swishing motion of the ship.. I immediately got ill..
We were all so drunk that we had to call the cabin steward to bring us stuff to clean it up. We tried but omg. He told us to leave the room for a few and cleaned it up for us :o Poor guy. He ended up getting a huge tip at the end of the cruise for that.
If I ever go on another cruise I am going to bring seasick pills or something and I will NOT get that drunk lol Just EW.
Me and Mrs. Jones by Billy Paul would be the song that was number one on my birthday o.0 Strangely I have never heard this, or if I have I don't remember it. I know a lot of older songs too..
The song that was number 1 on the charts when I turned 21 was Hero by Mariah Carey. Its a good song.. I am not a huge MC fan though :/
I'd buy savings bonds for my kids and pay off all my hospital bills.. and buy more bpal :o I know.. boring..
So I was searching Amazon last night for bands and saw that Queensryche had released Operation: Mindcrime II already. I knew it was coming but am not up to date on releases nowadays and completely missed the release. I checked out the song snippets on Amazon, and realized that what little I had heard was awful. With the exception of a few tracks.
The tracks that stand out are I'm American, Hands, and If I Could Change It All. I really need to hear the entire songs though to form a solid opinion though. But from what I did hear, most of it sounded like a cross between Tribe and Q2K. Which were both ass releases. It truly is too bad, this band once was a truly amazing band. What they wrote struck such a chord with me that to this day, The Warning, Rage For Order, Operation: Mindcrime, and Empire are on my favorite CD of all time list. Everything after Empire though just does not do it for me.
Alas, I will still buy this CD to add to my collection. Because its just one of those things. You know? It just disappoints me that they waited so long to do the follow up to O:MC that it just isn't in the spirit of the original..
I'm just checkin this thing out. It looks really neat. I should go play with the settings and stuff huh? If you are a friend through LiveJournal, feel free to add me!
:D
